Thrilled to see The Book Bench Project feature on ABC Radio recently. I started the project during the Covid lockdowns – a gift to Canberra and to myself, forcing me outside when my overthinking brain was preoccupied with reasons to stay indoors. Each week I drop three books from my shelves to a Canberra suburb, with details posted on Instagram and Facebook (@thebookbenchproject). It’s my small way of sharing my love of reading, and a sense of connectedness, with the place I’ve called home for nearly 35 years.
